Intro to UNM/Higher Education
Chris Baca is a UNM Academic Foundations instructor whose courses focus on honing the skills needed for a successful transition to university life. She has taught multiple sections since 2012, utilizing her background in reading and writing instruction to support new college students as they acclimate to the demands of academia. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Chris serves as the Associate Athletic Director for Student Development in UNM’s athletic department where she has the opportunity to oversee academic and holistic support for the student-athletes competing as Lobos. She is a native Albuquerquean and has earned two degrees from UNM, an undergraduate and a master’s degree both in Education. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Special Education.
