Foundational Math
Jessica Esquibel is a Foundational Math instructor for the Academic Communities at the University of New Mexico. She has been a secondary mathematics educator for 22 years. Jessica earned her B.A., M.A., and Educational Diagnostician’s license from the University of New Mexico. She is a National Board-Certified Teacher and was awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching for New Mexico in 2019. She is a regional instructor for Teachers Teaching with Technology, which has allowed her to mentor new teachers, and provide professional development to teachers at the school, district, state, and national levels. Jessica is dedicated to giving students the opportunity to engage in and discover mathematics and helping them to embrace mistakes as an opportunity to learn.
