A native New Mexican and first-generation college graduate, Ana Parra Lombard has been working in education for over 20 years. She has been teaching Math at UNM for the past 7 years and before that taught pre-K through 7th grade. “Teaching fosters and guides students through holistic development. The self, academics, and community are the three components of the learning process in higher education. The result creates a confident and self-motivated student who realizes the purpose of mathematics and number theory so they can apply it in everyday life. My favorite part of teaching is when I see my students discover and develop their superpowers for learning Math.”
